Karmen is coming from a small village in the municipality of Šoštanj. From a young age, she knew she wanted to become a veterinarian, as she was constantly surrounded by animals at home. Growing up on the family farm gave her the opportunity to experience the joy animals bring, as well as the daily care they require. After finishing high school, she enrolled at the Veterinary Faculty in Ljubljana, where she graduated in 2025. She continues to expand her knowledge through various trainings. Her interests include different fields, particularly internal medicine, parasitology, and diagnostic imaging.

Bella the cat is one of the animals on our farm. She’s a rescue with a feisty personality. She always knows how to stand her ground and dislikes being picked up or photographed. She even knows a few tricks more typical for dogs, such as giving a paw. Despite always having a full bowl of food, she hunts mice daily like a true predator, displaying remarkable precision and quick, accurate movements, and proudly shows off her catch.
